America’s San Diego Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) have impacted our nation’s successful innovators, doers, and dreamers. This year’s SBDC Day will be held March 16 via digital campaigns, public relations initiatives, events online, and numerous unique celebrations.

The day is fast approaching! And #SBDCDay happenings are already out, so save the date and consider becoming an ambassador or helping the spread the word any way you can about SBDC support for small businesses in San Diego, the Imperial Valley, and beyond. Encourage small business owners and entrepreneurs to connect or reconnect with us here at SDIVSBDC.org.

Why Use #SBDCDay?

The hashtag #SBDCDay helps gain more supporters on social media to follow SBDC Day and SBDC-related conversations online. It’s easier for our teams, partners, supporters, stakeholders, clients, and the public to find out about and stay updated on the event by using the hashtag. That’s how SBDCs unite in the campaign everywhere in the country. Reaching out online and joining the conversation how it’s best for you is the greatest way to show support and participation in the effort.

How SBDCs Celebrate the Important Day

Each SBDC location celebrates the important day locally by doing an online event or marketing including newsletters, videos, blogs, social media posts, proclamations, press releases, and media spots, as well as helping center teams, clients, and partners feel aware of and connected to the SBDC Day story plus small business successes. Don’t forget to find your nearest SBDC here.

More About SBDC

For example, we helped our rural community develop a business and in times of uncertainty. We strive every day to be their and others’ guiding light, the SBDC Day theme this year.

Learn how our SBDC client José L. Yepez Jr., president of Desert Building & Design in the Imperial Valley, started a rural business in the recession and is overcoming a pandemic as well. You’ll hear his insights and discover his important traits as an entrepreneur. He also trusts the SBDC as a partner and encourages other business owners to not be afraid of taking that leap for success along with the hard work. It can make a big difference in your community, from your city to your county and state.
