Do You Have A Small Business That We Can Help You Start or Grow?
Success Story: Tres Fuegos Cocina
Diana Tapiz calls herself the “humbled business owner” of Tres Fuegos Cocina when we last spoke with her. The entrepreneur shares how the SBDC helped her grow her business in many ways. “It established goals for me to follow,” she emphasizes.
“Going into the food business, I had no idea where to begin,” she says. “I had no idea where to start.” She explains how a friend told her about the SBDC. “It was an amazing choice that I called,” Diana says and describes how she was lucky and grateful to meet advisor Marisa Castaneda, who Diana says has guided her very well and she’s continually so thankful for that.
Tres Fuegos Cocina started as a home-based business. “We wanted to see what people thought of our food, and it just boomed,” she illustrates. “Thankfully we got a great opportunity, and now we’re working out of a commissary kitchen.”
Tapiz also describes how they’re well on their way to building their path to their future restaurant.

“Don’t hesitate. Call them,” she says of the SBDC. “They will help you. They will guide you. And they will give you a map for you to follow.” She thanks Marisa for giving her a map. “I would have taken a longer time figuring that map out if I would not have come to you. And you’ve given me this beautiful map,” she says over Zoom with a heartfelt smile.
