Do You Have A Small Business That We Can Help You Start or Grow?
Success Stories: Snoice Snow & Ice Desserts
Diane Manansala and Jayrell Ringpis started Snoice Snow & Ice Desserts in 2015. Their parents had a San Diego restaurant, and after returning from New York, the young couple wanted to find their own project. Diane’s mother let them use part of her bakery to sell shaved snow. It took off on social media, and they used that momentum to build their business of Filipino-inspired foods including halo halo.
Five years later, they share how their community has grown and with not just one but two kids, Diane says they felt it was right to have a second location in the popular Convoy food district, “which is the mecca of Asian food.”
The Asian Business Association and Alliance SBDC’s Wesley Quach knew the entrepreneurs, and they saw his rising involvement in the business community. Wesley reached out to them. “He’s kind of almost helped us regain understanding our business and where we should focus on,” Diane adds. The partners discuss how Wesley helped them connect with franchising experts and many other resources.
