Do You Have A Small Business That We Can Help You Start or Grow?
Success Story: David Nutley Automotive
David Nutley approached the SBDC for help starting an automotive repair business, in need of a business plan and $100,000 in financing. This was not to be a conventional car servicer. David would operate an independent service center specializing in very expensive cars including Bentley, Rolls Royce, and Bugatti. The entrepreneur provides a unique background with 45 years in automotive service – and at one point was the Head of North American After Sales for Bugatti Automotive. He was also among the factory-trained, certified master technicians specialized in the aforementioned brands as well as vintage and other specialty vehicles.
From a financeable position, the client had strengths including good credit and collateral. Adding additional power to the transaction, he planned to continue his current employment with another high-end repair service. The financial adviser talked to a few banks, and Banner Bank showed interest in pursuing this business owner. After a few weeks, the bank offered the client a term loan, of which David has only used half to open his location.
David has already expanded his business and expects a significant increase in revenue for 2021. He shares how his business provides the highest quality certified workmanship at a reasonable price, far less than the dealer and of far greater quality than the competition. David Nutley has achieved the automotive American dream and he truly believes he says, “You and your vehicle deserve the very best; it’s not about the car, it’s about the driver.”
