For Doup Choul, owner of Prosperity Home Care LLC, entrepreneurship has always been about more than building a successful business. Driven by a passion for serving and uplifting his community, Doup views business ownership as a vehicle for creating opportunities, generating jobs, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. His commitment to service extends beyond his company as he also operates a youth basketball camp, where he mentors young athletes and instills important values such as leadership, discipline, and teamwork.
While Doup had a clear vision for his business, one of his greatest challenges was developing the structure and strategy needed to support sustainable growth. He recognized the need for a stronger business foundation, including a strategic plan, operational systems, and long-term growth strategy that would allow Prosperity Home Care LLC to reach its full potential.
To address these challenges, Doup enrolled in the Logan Heights Emerging Entrepreneurship Program (LEEP) Cohort 13. Through the program and the support of the SBDC and Logan Heights CDC, he gained valuable guidance, mentorship, and practical training designed to help entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses. Working alongside experienced guest speakers and fellow business owners, Doup was able to develop a comprehensive strategic business plan while building a network of support and resources.
Following completion of the program, Doup quickly began putting what he learned into action. He strengthened his internal business systems, received a small business grant to support growth efforts, and took important steps toward expansion. One of his most significant accomplishments has been organizing a hiring fair at Logan Heights CDC and launching the process of interviewing potential employees, creating new job opportunities within the community.
Today, Prosperity Home Care LLC is positioned for continued growth, supported by a solid business foundation and a clear vision for the future. Through the guidance of the SBDC and the LEEP program, Doup has transformed challenges into opportunities and continues to make a positive impact through both his business and community involvement.
